The Human Landscape: Sketches & Impressions
This collection functions as a visual journal of mixed-media artwork, exploring the intimate connection between our external environments and our inner emotional worlds.paths.
The majority of this collection consists of quick, immediate sketches. Rather than trying to paint a figure with strict realism, my goal is always to capture the fleeting energy of a single moment and distill the most essential truth of a subject.
This philosophy shapes both sides of the gallery. On one path, the artwork captures the lively energy, movement, and sunlight of bustling street markets through spontaneous watercolor and ink drawings. On the other, it dives into raw, psychological portraiture, using heavy textures and stark contrasts to reveal complex inner states like resilience and internal struggle. Together, these pieces illustrate that every street carries a memory, and every face tells a story.
