About

S. Bekit is an artist, caricaturist, and educator known for his Contemporary Neo-Expressionist portraiture. His art combines realistic human figures with expressive abstract elements to explore identity, emotions, and the human condition.

At the center of his work is the idea of the “Inner Prisma” — the belief that every person transforms life experiences into a unique spectrum of emotions. Through his portraits, he aims to make this invisible inner energy visible on canvas.

Bekit mainly works with acrylic and mixed media, using thick layers of paint and bold color contrasts instead of smooth blending. This creates vibrant artworks that change depending on light and the viewer’s perspective.

Beyond his studio practice, he has contributed to cultural development and art education in Sweden and previously at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Center. He has led projects such as:

“My View of Sweden”  using student art to encourage dialogue about freedom and human rights,
artistic school-environment improvement initiatives,
international youth projects like the Lions Peace Poster Contest.

He is also a recognized caricature artist, using humor and satire to comment on social and political issues. His portfolio ranges from powerful acrylic and mixed-media works to watercolor and caricature, and his art has been exhibited in Sweden, Germany, Italy and the Middle East, reflecting African and Arab cultural influences.
